Created to Create

Happy Halloween Eve!

Today I'm sharing my Bible intro page. I started with a clear cut from Bella Blvd and used it as my guide to designing the page. The title was cut from Neat and Tangled's journaling alpha dies. Everything else was bits of scraps I had from kits or other Illustrated Faith items. The washi is from a Dayspring kit.
Right behind the page is half of an angel that you can see peeking behind. (The other half is in my Bible from advent last year) I thought it created this cool watching over me effect.
I wrote a small dedication and when I started filling this bible and when I declare it full I'll add that date.

Hope you all have a great Halloween; until next time. <3 Ann

Snack Time

Happy Friday!
I'm slowly working on getting my stories into books and this is one I had been meaning to do for awhile. This one is a favorite snack when we visit Disney. I've just about killed this Ali Edwards Eat kit. The card that has the snack time piece is an embossed star card from an older Studio Calico kit. The black hearts are from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 pad. Everything else is from the Story kit.

Remember the story is the most important. Until next time. <3 Ann

Halloween Card

Today's card came together with scraps I've had for a while. The bat paper was only about 4 inches and had the jagged border on it so I used that as the start of my card. A scrap piece of orange cardstock and silver embossing powder for the greeting. I found another sheet of the bat paper and stamped and embossed the ghost in silver embossing powder as well. I decided to have him slide across the card after I already had the rest of it done. So that goes right to the inside of the card if I were to write more to send out. Not perfect, but it's less bulky for mailing and closed it looks great :D

Products used:
American Crafts Halloween 6x6 pad (from Target 4 years ago)
Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting
Lawn Fawn Slide on Over
American Crafts Zing Silver embossing powder

Illustrated Faith Revival Camp 2017

Hope your Monday is going great!

I had a busier summer so I haven't had time to really watch or read any of the free Revival Camp Illustrated Faith posted in August. Then it turns out that 3 of the 4 weeks have already been done in my bible and this was the only open page. I did buy the add-on designs they sold that matched camp. That's where the Truely love comes from. The badge was a free printable for the class.
I'm continuing my clean and simple and getting my words onto the page. For as much as I enjoy the "stuff", I put on pages. The words are more important.

If you enjoy or think you might enjoy bible journaling I'd suggest checking out the Revival camp workshop.

Psalm 5

Happy Sunday

For Psalm 5 I pulled out verse 3 which talks about morning. I really need to work on my blending with watercolor skills, but it's supposed to be a sunrise. I used 3 shades of pink, but it's hard to tell in person or in the photos. I try to work with any "mistakes" in my Bible as we aren't perfect, God doesn't expect us to be, and he accepts us how we are.
The sun is from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor wishes 6x6 pad. I used some stamps from the Rise Up kit. And wrote a small message about what I felt from the verse.

Disney World Title Page

TGIF!!!
This year I made trips to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. So I wanted a page that divided the two resorts. While some things are similar many things are different.
This is made using only Simple Stories products. The only thing that isn't from Say Cheese 3 are the white letters for the title. They are just a staple Simple Stories product. (I love these letters and have them in every color)
I wanted it to be simple. I don't know if I'll take more than 1 trip east this year so I didn't want to date it. If it turns out to be one then I'll add the dates under the title with white ink.

That's it for today; until next time. <3 Ann

I love you Sloth

Today I have a card I made for my husband for our anniversary last week. I started with the sloth as it is a favorite animal of my husband. I colored him with Copics. I'm not a great with them and haven't used them in awhile and it shows, but it works I think. I put it in a frame so it looks like we saw him in a zoo. I wanted to do this echo effect with the greeting so I inked up the hello and stamped it 4 times down the 1in sentiment strip and ^really is done twice, but it didn't photograph well.

Products used: Papers were Basic Grey Persimmon 6x6 pad
Ink was Lawn Fawn Deep Sea Stamps were Lawn Fawn #awesome & Hang in There Avery Elle Handwritten Notes

Thrive Bible Journaling

Happy Monday!

Today I'm sharing a page I did using the set Thrive from the Illustrated Faith Print and Pray shop.
I really like the butterflies and the verse I printed the set on a mix of white sticker paper and clear. I wanted the butterflies to pop and sort of flourish the page so they're on white and the verse and frame (that I cut and used on both the top and bottom) is on clear. I underlined the verse with a gold pen and stamped the date with my new stamp set from Elle's Studio
I'm in a simple sort of feel with my Bible journaling right now. I'm really enjoying the time in the word and what's coming from it.

That's it for today; until next time. <3 Ann

Rockin Roaders Disney scrapbook

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Happy Friday!
I'm finally sitting down and working on this year's Disney album. I tend to take several shorter trips during the year and this year I've decided to give them their own album (vs mixing it into Project Life) I'm keeping the album pretty simple I keep a small kit of items I can pull for the album so I don't spend forever looking for that perfect embellishment.
These photos are from January when I got to ride Rockin Roadsters for the first time and how it wowed me.
I used bits and pieces from Say Cheese 3, a photo printed on my HP Sprocket, and a circle from the AE Fun Kit add-ons.
I really like how this turned out with the colors of the collection matching the cars pretty well. :D
Well, that's it for today; until next time. <3 Ann

Hero Arts North Pole Card

Happy Wednesday,
I love getting monthly kits. new products delivered to my door and I don't have to do anything. Okay sign me up. I kept forgetting to sign up or would miss when the kits went on sale and they sell out fast! I actually saw the tweet that they were running low and quickly ordered my kit.
It arrived on the 7th and it took me about 5 minutes before I was creating something with it.
I knew I wanted to use the mountain and tree background dies. I then stamped a handful of images that had matching dies (only 10 of the dozens in the set have dies) I copic colored the sled and house and used the silver embossing powder from the kit for the greeting. I'm in love with it. The only thing I had trouble with in the kit was what's called a "Thick Lacquer Pen" which took me some time to figure out it's just a generic name for glossy accents. I used them to create a snow effect on the blue sky.  I used my Wink of Stella white glitter and Copic B00 to create a snow look on the mountains and hill.

Copics

Wait

Happy Monday,

This is my first two-page spread in my bible. It's for the A Heart that Receives devotional (sold out) from Dayspring. I used a lot of random pieces from things I had. I painted the scene with my watercolors trying to do shading and demotion. The birds are from the Rise Up stamp set, the die cuts are all from different sets. Go Here I used a Lawn Fawn alphabet stamp.

Psalms 4

Today's Psalms entry was a bit of learning on the go. I used verse 4:7 which is on the 2nd page for this Psalm. I started by tracing a heart and letters to start the page. I used masking fluid to keep the letters white. I had a ton of problems with my watercolors on this page for some reason. The color wouldn't travel well so it looks a mess, but sometimes we're a mess and God doesn't care. He loves us just the same. So I always just go with it. I used the Oddysey Prima colors for the red and blue. I used the Metallic accents for the gold and pitt pens for the lining.

That's it for today; until next time. <3 Ann

My View Post Op

TGIF!
Today I'm sharing a layout I did using the Ali Edwards Lens kit. I took this picture during my surgery recovery when my nurse was keeping an eye on me. I knew this kit would be perfect for getting this story told. I started with an old b-side from Studio Calico's Atlantic collection and blue the big chipboard pieces to the top. I cut the pink cameras from one of the 4x6 cards and used words from the kit around the page. I used some old block letters to write out a title and then jotted down the things in the photo and it all slants to the right because straight lines are hard. It was an easy to put together the page and is getting my stories told and into albums vs photos and product stacking up in my craft space.

Celebrate Always - Card

Hello everyone!

Today I have a card to share today. I used Celebrate set I got from Ali Edwards sale a couple weeks ago. I also used Turn the Page 6x6 pad and piece from the die cut pack as the start of the card. Then in my attempts to use my stash, I broke out vellum, enamel dots, and balloon dies from Paper Smooches that I've never used.

I stamped on the vellum using Lawn Fawn Blue Jay and set it aside to dry because I forgot dye ink + vellum, not the perfect fit. I used the large flowers on the bottom to hide most of my adhesive to hold the vellum in place and behind the enamel dots. The balloons were added with stands of floss, but that's really hard to see in the photo. I then mounted the whole thing on an A4 card and it's ready for any sort of celebration that might arise.

He Guides My Change

Happy Monday,

Today I'm sharing a page I did from the Craving Connection devotional (sold out) from DaySpring. It was part of a 15-minute challenge Illustrated Faith ran on their Facebook page. This page took 22 minutes to finish. It's about verse Isaiah 43:19 which I highlighted having the river of my scene that I painted with my Prima Watercolors and Pitt Pens.

Psalm 3

Happy Sunday

My plan with my Psalms book is to keep it simple because I don't think I can add a ton of layers to each chapter and have it all still fit in the book. I read each chapter and sometimes do some Googling about the chapter meaning.
To create the shield I found some clip art on Google that I printed and traced. I'm horrible at freehand drawing so I try to find something I can trace or just glue into my book. I used the Classics watercolors to color and for the words, the green block are from October Afternoon and the red are Simple Stories.

That's it for today; until next time. <3 Ann
